STC TEKANPUR AT A GLANCE

STC BSF Tekanpur is one of the oldest recruit Trg Centre of BSF. It was raised on 01 March 1986 as STC (Subsidiary Training Centre) as an integral part of BSF Academy Tekanpur. The first Commandant of this STC was Sh. Sudarshan Kumar. This STC has been established in an area of 58.16 acres of land against the authorized land of 125 acres. STC BSF Tekanpur is located approx 30 Km South East from Gwalior.

During the year 2011, the capacity of this training center was reviewed by MHA to enhance the infrastructure & manpower to meet the additional training requirement in BSF. After reviewing the training capacity, MHA authorized 06 Coys to impart basic training i.e. 1008 recruits @ 168 recruits per coy. Apart from basic training of recruit constable this STC has been assigned the responsibility of running basic training and in-service courses for ministerial staff of this force. This training institution has also been earmarked to run PC(TAC) Course for above 50 years of age (a force level course). This STC has imparted Basic training to a total number of 30960 trainees till Jan 2023.

This institute has also been actively fulfilling its social responsibility & participating in various extracurricular events in & around the Gwalior city.
