DG's Message
It is a great honour to lead Border Security Force, the largest Border Guarding Force of the world.
Since its inception, the BSF has evolved into a highly professional and capable force, equipped to tackle myriad challenges that arise in securing the vast and diverse frontiers of our country. From the scorching deserts of Rajasthan to the dense forests of the Northeast, from the snowy heights of the Himalayas to the challenging creek area of the western front, our personnel remain vigilant and steadfast in their duty.
BSF is not only the guardian of our borders but also plays a pivotal role in the internal security, anti LWE operations, law and order duties and promoting peace and stability in the border regions. Our commitment to uphold the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India remains resolute.
I salute the martyrs of the force, who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the glory of the force and the nation.
As we continue to adapt to evolving security challenges, our focus remains on modernization, capacity building, and welfare of our personnel. We are committed to leveraging technology, enhancing training standards, and fostering cooperation with other security forces to effectively combat the threats we face.
I am confident that with the guidance of the Government and continued support of the people of India, the BSF will keep marching forward with greater strength and determination. Together, we will continue to protect our borders, preserve peace, and contribute to the safety and security of our great nation.
