Born on 20 Dec 1973, Shri VivekSaxena, AC joined BSF on 6 March 2000.On 8 Jan 2003, troops of 2 BnBSF, 2 Coys of 128 BnBSF andone Coy of 64 BnBSF carried out a joint operation in villageSajikTampak area.They came under heavy fire of the UGs fromthe surrounding dominating height.During the encounter Shri VivekSaxena, AC sustained bullet injuries and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.His sacrifice has been recognized by Govt.of India by awardinghim “PMG” & “Shaurya Chakra”(Posthumously).His next of kin Shri RamswaroopSaxena(father) resides atH / No. 147 / C - 3, Krishnalok - 1, Banthra, Lucknow, UttarPradesh.
