Brief of Incident
| On 09 July 2018 at about 1300 hrs, Spl joint Ops was organized by lunching three parties from COB Marbera, three parties from COB Kanhagaon, two parties frm COB-Kurrenar and One party from COB-Chhote Bethia. On receiving some reliable information through T-I regarding kidnapping of own Police source namely Milan Halder S/O Parmanand Halder R/O Vill Rangwahi and Mr Tappas Biswas of PV-95 last night. Thereafter reserve party of joint Ops from COB-Chhote Bethia consisting of GO-02, ORs-20 and CGP-02 Total-24 persons left on motorcycles to rescue the kidnap civilian/Source towards the general area Rangwahi and PV-96 in which area Spl Ops was already going on. After crossing PV-96 at about 091630 hrs where a distance of about 1.5 Kms the motor cycle party was came under an IED attack by Naxals on Kuchha track. The IED was very powerful. The leading motor cycle rider No.14350438 Ct Vijaynand Nayak and co rider No.143504139 Ct Santosh Laxman Gaurav thrown away. Due to impact of IED blast both of them were critical injured and succumbed to injuries. Both are evacuated to Civil hospital Bande where at about 091945 hrs both of them declared brought dead. There are no loss of weapon and wireless sets.
