Brief of Incident

On 04th April 2019 at about 1030 hrs, when orad protection party reached across Mahla Nala comma about 200 to 260 Maoists and their supporters who were hidden in nearby Jungle and hill area suddenly blasted IEDs and opened heavy volume of fire on BSF troops. BSF troops in their self defense comma also retaliated by firing on the Maoists. After getting information about the incident comma 02 Commando party led by Sh Yogesh kumar, AC and Sh Gobu Kumar J, AC left for the place of incident from COB Mahla  to re-enforce own troops. On arrival comma reinforcement party also retaliated the Maoists by heavily firing. The ensuing encounter lasted upto approx. 1230 hrs (approx. 02 hrs). During said exchange of fire following following pers of 114 Bn BSF got martyrdom due to due to bullet/splinter injuries sustained by them.

During this incident 01 Officer namely Sh Gobu Kumar j, AC IRLA No- 11736042recd bullet injuries in upper side of the left thigh and No 123504566 Inspr Gopal Rong received splinter injuries in upper side of the left shoulder during the exchange of fire. 
Details of AMN fired by own troops. 5.56 MM 1299 RDS, 09 MM -49 RDS, 51 MM Mor HE Bomb 25 RDS, Smoke Bomb 01, UBGL 10 RDS, 7.62 MM AK 772 RDS.
