Brief of Incident

On 22 Feb’2019 at about 0500 hrs, No. 041630026 Const Rajender Gautam expired at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College ; Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. He was deployed at Arel Ghat, Sec-20 Prayagraj during Khumbh Mela 2019 sustained injuries while rescuing an old aged person who was drowning in river Ganga. He was evacuated to Swaroop Rani hospital Prayagraj (UP) for treatment and further referred to Vardhaman Mahavir Medical college Safdarjung hospital New Delhi for advance treatment where he was operated for spinal injury.
