Brief of Incident

On 11 Jan 2020 No. 990099585 HC(GD) Patnana Jogulu was  employed for sentry duty at Morcha No. 12, Bn HQ Rajouri Campus From 111200 hrs to 111500 hrs. The morcha was equipped with kero heater (DRDO) for nestling down the piercing cold. At about 111240 hrs while he was performing his duties, the morcha as well as the individual engulfed with the fire from kero heater (DRDO). On seeing the flame of fire, the available troops rushed to the spot for dousing the fire as well as to save above individual. He was immediately evacuated to 150 GH, Army Hospital stationed at Rajouri and further referred to Army Command Hospital, Udhampur by Hepter, where on duty Doctor declared him brought dead. Owing to the fire the under mentioned Govt./ Controlled Stores were damaged.
