Brief of Incident

On 10 Oct 2021 at about 1155 hrs, No.0000677686 HC/GD James Topo, age-47 years while going to OP Duty in Cargo area in the AOR of ICP Petrapole on his bicycle, a Indian cargo truck loaded with cotton yarn coming from opposite direction hit his bicycle. As result he lost his balance and falls in front of the truck and got overrun by the front wheel of this truck. He got injuries in his left leg, left ribs and left hand. He was immediately evacuated to nearest District hospital at Bongaon where doctor declared him brought dead at about 1230 hrs. His personnel weapon INSAS rifle Butt No 534, Body No 16627683 carried by individual got partially damaged. Actual cause of death will be ascertained after receipt of post mortem report.
