8. Brief Details :- On 28 Oct 2022 at about 1250 hrs No.131505904 Ct Gowtham K Generator
Operator/Electrician was rectyfing fault in BFL Cable in between BFL pole SRP-29 to SRP-30 in
AOR of BOP Dangipara, 152 Bn BSF through fault finding machine when he got electric shock.
During work today, he was assisted by civil electrician namely Prahlad Baidya of vill-Sripur, who
was earlier contractual labour with contractor and working for BSF for maintenance of BFLS. He
probably slipped over the cable while handling it. He was immediately evacuated to SDH Islampur
through Unit ambulance. Offg Coy Comdr at BOP Dangipara and Sh Sunil Kumar,AC adjoining Coy
Comdr with Medical Staff and Unit Medical Officer accompanied the patient. Matter was
immediately informed to Commandant 152 Bn and he alongwith Sh Vivek Singh 2IC and Sh
Dushyant AC left for SDH Islampur. After reaching the hospital at about 1350 hrs the patient was
declared brought dead by on duty doctor. The Commandant 152 Bn alongwith Second In
Command visited the spot in AOR of BOP Dangipara and inquired about the incident. Individual
had undergone Sector Level Generator/Operator/Electric Cadre and was performing duty of
Electrician in Bn . However, actual cause of death will be ascertained on receipt of post mortem
report. FIR being lodged with PS Goalpokher, distt-Uttar Dinajpur (WB). The wife of deceased
