       Subsidiary Training Centre, Border Security Force, Kashmir was established on 10th June 1990 in Humhama, District Budgam, J & K, under the command of Shri N S Kanwar, Commandant. The prime responsibility of this training institution is to impart basic training to newly appointed recruit constables, constable tradesmen, communication personnel and para medical staff. The centre also conducts force level UID courses, various in-service mandatory courses and refresher courses for the personnel of Kashmir Frontier as per requirement.

2.      The STC BSF Kashmir impart training to the BSF Personnel to cope up with the future challenges for the force while guarding the international borders by empowering them with the mental, moral and physical attributes. We in STC, provide the highest standard of focused training, fully equipped and grooming them with moral and ethical values to make them professional Borderman.

3.      Besides, this STC has also contributed immensely in normalizing the situation in Jammu and Kashmir by imparting task specific training to BSF personnel, deployed in valley. STC BSF Kashmir also help local population during the flood in valley during the year 2014.

4.      Our constant endeavour is to keep ourselves updated with the latest trends, developments and best practices in the realm of training and integrate it with available modern technology to make training contemporary to meet emerging operational challenges. We pace up with the latest changes by introducing and focussing on modern technology for training to the recruits as well as BSF personnel’s.

4.      It is the matter of great pride and privilege for me to head the STC BSF Kashmir. I assure all that this STC would give brave and professional border man for guarding the International Border of India with Pakistan & Bangladesh.

5.      We as, team of instructors are fully committed in achieving desired goals of transforming a civilian into a physically tough, mentally robust and a professionally sound Borderman.
