
Malkangiri: The 14th Tribal Youth Exchange Programme-2022/23 (first phase) began in coordination with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Malkangiri, on Thursday. Shailendra Kumar Sinha, DIG, SHQ BSF, Malkangiri flagged off the 7-day tour programme of tribal youths from Malkangiri district to Ahmedabad. The event would glorify national values and enhance patriotic ethos.
This tour involves 70 tribal youths, including 32 male and 38 female candidates, belonging to Mathili and Chitrakonda police station areas of Malkangiri district. They are living in far-flung areas where BSF troops are deployed in the interiors of the district.
This programme is being organised in collaboration with Border Security Force (Ministry of Home Affairs) and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs), Government of India, in Malkangiri.
During the tour, the youths will stay in Ahmedabad from October 16 to 22. They would get an opportunity to meet the Gujarat Governor, members of Council of Ministers, sports personalities, film/TV stars and other important personalities of the State. They would also get orientation in career guidance and counselling available to youths, especially on industrial training.
They would also visit sports events, industries/corporates, institutes of national importance, historical and cultural places for better understanding of the social and cultural ethos of the country.
This entire programme is planned to enhance their level of knowledge and provide them better exposure at a bigger platform, which would help them seek bright careers.
