IG's Message

It is with immerse pride and deep humility that I undertake the mantle of operational leadership at the frontier HQ (Spl Ops) BSF Odisha as on 3rd Aug 2024. On this auspicious occasion, I extend my sincerest regards and felicitations to the Seema Praharies and their esteemed families.

Ftr HQ (SPL OPS) BSF, Odisha is an active operational frontier of the force that came into existence to curb Maoist menace in the State of Odisha in the year 2009 with the deployment in the remotest part of Koraput and Malkangiri districts of Odisha. It is an acknowledged fact that valiant act of brave Jawans & Officers of this Frontier played a crucial role in battling the Maoist in the region. Their Martyrdom will always give us strength in performing our charter of duties. The untiring and heroic efforts of our brave border-men have been instrumental in bringing down Maoist related activities in the State to almost a Zero level. This hitherto unimagined accomplishment has been acknowledged by the state.

Within a short span of its inception, this Frontier has acquired a reputation of professional competence, operational effectiveness and welfare of troops. The Frontier has carved out niche for itself among the BSF Frontiers in the field of operations and communication networks. This frontier is adequately connected to the remotest locations of its deployment.

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the website of Ftr HQ (SPL OPS ) BSF, Odisha which is a very useful platform to share information related to various activities of this Frontier in particular and the BSF as a whole, in the field of operations, training, sports, welfare and Force modernization.
