BICYCLE RALLY ORGANIZED BY BORDER SECURITY FORCE ON NATIONAL UNITY DAY

Guwahati: In a series of events being organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Ironman Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on 29th October 2022 a cycle rally was organized in the border areas by the Units of Border Security Force, Guwahati Frontier to spread awareness and promote the unity and integrity of the nation.
Large number of BSF personnel including officers, subordinate officers and jawans of BSF battalions and students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Panbari participated in the cycle rally in bordering villages of Coochbehar (WB), Dhubri and South Salamara Districts of Assam on Indo-Bangladesh international border.
During the program Shri Parveen Bakshi, DIG Cooch Behar Sector stated that this day inspires us to work unitedly to face the challenges and potential threats to the unity and integrity of the nation. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of independent India, who played an important role in keeping India united. His birthday on 31st October is celebrated as 'National Unity Day'.
