It is a proud privilege to assume command of STC BSF Baikunthpur, one of the oldest recruit training centers in the east of country. Located in the foothills of the great Himalayas amidst the serene environment of Baikunthpur forest division, this STC is a perfect place for tactical and combat training.
From its establishments in 1967 to this date, STC BSF Baikunthpur has carved a niche for itself in the field of training of recruits. Since its inception, this Institution has imparted qualitative training to not only BSF personnel but to many others form sister organization(s). Besides basic recruit training, various in-service courses are also conducted at this Institution. At present, this STC is the only Training center in Eastern theatre of BSF to impart BRT for Female personnel. We take pride in the fact that “first BSF Mahila Brass Band was raised & prepared by this STC in a very short span of time,” The mahila brass band brought glory to this institution when they performed and mesmerized the esteemed guests with their well-coordinated & synchronized presentation during Beating Retreat Ceremony at Kartavay Path.
Our aim is to “Transform a Civilian into a Battle Worthy, physically robust, mentally tough and a professionally fit Borderman”. Our efforts are constantly on to enhance the efficiency of recruit trainees in drill, physical training and firing, The trainees who have passed out from this STC have achieved remarkable standards and brought laurels to the Force.
I am sure that the excellent team of instructor’s shape trainees into professionally competent & motivated soldiers in the service of the nation.
