IG Message

1.It gives me immense pleasure and honour to take over the command of prestigious and one of the most sensitive and versatile Frontier of the Force i.e. Jammu Frontier. The troops of Jammu Frontier undoubtedly enjoy exceptional reputation at all the tiers of command and staff, may it be Border Guarding, Counter Insurgency, LC deployment or any other assignment. Performance of Jammu Frontier has always been outstanding and well above the expectations. I would like to congratulate every member of the Frontier who contributed wholeheartedly to bring good name to the Frontier and to the Force.

2.The contemporary era is characterised by the need to work in full synergy for peace and stability and we will continue with other sister agencies to improve law and order situation, and bring peace and tranquillity at the International Border. We will continue to strengthen the initiative taken by my predecessors for safety and security of the border population by way of foolproof border guarding. It would be our endeavour to ensure better administration, transportation, good living/working condition and welfare of BSF Personnel and their families.

3.The Jammu Frontier achieved excellence by winning four prominent trophies during 2021-22 notwithstanding heavy operational commitment, thus setting a historical milestone in the annals of BSF. We need to maintain this standard and bring more laurels to Jammu Frontier. ‘OUR VISION’ “To be a force of excellence in guarding the border of Jammu Frontier through highly professional, credible and efficient border management”.

4.I exhort and call upon all officers and members of this Frontier to put in their best and leave no stone unturned in achieving and meeting all the challenges by maintaining highest tradition of the force.
