GUJARAT
1. 50 bicycles donated by Industrialist have been made available for Jawans/ family members to commute within Gandhinagar campus.
2. A RO system, donated by an industrialist has been installed on 4th Jan 2020 at BSF campus Gandhinagar to provide free of cost RO water to families.
3. Under Swachhta Abhiyan, a door to door garbage collection programme started from 1st Dec 2019 in BSF Gandhinagar Campus of Frontier HQ Gujarat.
4. Ftr Gujarat has contracted “Ecoli Bio waste Management Control” a firm for disposal of Medical waste.
5. A new branch of SBI was inaugurated on 1st July 2020 in BSF campus Gandhinagar in presence of CGM SBI and IG BSF Gujarat Ftr.
6. Ayurvedic clinic was inaugurated on 28th July 2020 in presence of IG BSF Gujarat Ftr and Director Ayush, Govt. of Gujarat and every Tuesday doctor visits the hospital.
7. Children Traffic Park was built at BSF campus Gandhinagar to educate the children on traffic.
8. To provide fresh and good quality of condiments to BSF personnel, a Masala Chakki was established in BSF campus, Gandhinagar in Jan 2021 in which various condiments and flour.
9. Eye Clinic was inaugurated on 30th Dec 2020 at Ftr HQ Hospital Gandhinagar. Renowned Eye specialist Dr. Tejal Dalal, M.S. (Ophthal), Tej Eye Centre Gandhinagar visits twice in a month for Eye checkup of BSF personnel & family members.
10. Due to long distance between main gate and family quarters / barracks, family members / troops, two E-Rickshaws (one for passenger & one for carrying goods) have been provided free of cost to carry BSF personnel / family members and their luggage/ other goods.
11. Since Feb 2021 Vermicompost started at BSF Campus Gandhiangar.
12. To provide cookies and bakery items to family members and Jawans at reasonable rates, bakery shop started on 29th Jan 2021.
13. Every unit locations as well as at BOPs in AOR of Gujarat Ftr, nurseries were developed with sufficient sapling / trees to over come the problem of getting sapling for plantation drive.
14. For the sportsmen and BSF wards, new sports facilities like KABADDI , SKATING & WEIGHT LIFTING and GYMNASTIC HALL added in Gandhinagar campus.
15. ‘Carrier Counselling Centre cum Multi purpose hall for BSF families / Martyr’s widows has been constructed at BSF Campus Gnr, for which 35 Lakhs received under CSR fund from GETCO.
16. A new open Gym was constructed at the cost of Rs. 15 Lakhs allotted by GETCO under CSR fund.
17. For the convenience of family members and troops, one SBI ATM has been installed inside the BSF Campus.
18. To overcome this problem a mobile tower was installed on 15th Aug 2021 inside BSF campus Gandhinagar by Indus Tower Ltd. for better tele connectivity.
19. A herbal garden is also created in BSF campus Gandhinagar. Various type of medicinal plants are planted in the garden.
