The valiant Bordermen of Gujarat Ftr have been effectively securing and vigilantly monitoring the extensive 826 kilometres of the International Border with Pakistan, spanning from BP No. 780 in Barmer (Rajasthan) to Sir Creek including 85 kilometres of the coastal border from Medi to Jakhau. The Frontier has a unique distinction of dominating three diverse terrains: the undulating sand dunes of the majestic Thar Desert in Barmer, the expansive salty marshlands of Rann of Kutch, and the intricate and challenging Creeks. Our troops have consistently risen to meet all challenges with remarkable effectiveness and efficiency.
Since its establishment in 2004, Gujarat Frontier has consistently demonstrated a high-level of competence, operational effectiveness, and unwavering care for its troops. On the operational front in 2023, the brave men and officers under command apprehended 23 Indian and 09 Pakistani Intruders in the challenging and inhospitable terrain of the Frontier. Additionally, significant quantities of illegal substances, including 31 Pkts of heroin,115 Pkts of charas, 03 Pkts of amphetamine and 80 Kg doda posht, with an estimated value of approximately Rs 134 crore, were seized. Additionally, Gujarat Frontier has actively participated and achieved success by clinching trophies in various games at the Inter-Ftr level for the training year 2024-25.
