Organizing special programs under the aegis of Bawa in Border Security Force Meru on the occasion of International Women's Day.

             President, BSF Wives Welfare Association (Bawa) In the series of programs planned by the Border Security Force, New Delhi, on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, 2022, Dr. Laxmi Singh, Vinoba Bhave University, In addition to being a professor and in-charge of NSS in Law College, she is actively associated with many social law institutions by providing lectures and motivational information. Along with this, prizes were distributed to the winners of Horticulture and Terrace/Balcony decoration competition organized among the sentinels. Apart from this, cultural programs were organized among the present women under the talent show.
           This series of programs will be run till 10 March 2022. Be aware that, this day is celebrated to reflect on the progress of women, to encourage change and to celebrate the acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, thereby promoting women empowerment. The theme of the year 2022 by the United Nations: - Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow i.e. Gender equality in society is necessary for a sustainable and equal tomorrow.
          On this special day, in the programs organized under the aegis of Mrs. Gurupreet Kaur Bains, Bawa President, Border Security Force Meru, today, on March 08, 2022, at 1045 am, Mrs. Mukta Banerjee, Secretary Meru and other Bawa members lit the lamp and performed cultural programs. duly started. Lectures and motivational information were provided by Dr. Laxmi Singh on the topic of women empowerment and gender equality to the sentinels. After that, many sentinels gave their views on the topic of women empowerment and gender equality. Apart from this, cultural programs were also organized under various types of talent shows, in which the sentinels were given ample opportunity to show their talent. Along with this, prizes were distributed to the winners of plantation in pots and terrace/balcony decoration competition among the sentinel families held earlier. This effort of Bawa Mainru was highly appreciated by all the watchdogs and enthusiasm and enthusiasm was seen during the program. During the gaiety of the program, the rules of Kovid 19 were fully followed. About 150 members and watchdogs were present during this program.

           Mrs. Gurupreet Kaur Bains, Bawa President, Border Security Force Meru, while congratulating all the members of the Bawa Meru family and sentinel companions on International Women's Day, appreciated the contribution of women in the progress of the country. He said that the purpose behind celebrating this day is to provide women with all the rights which are given to a common citizen. At the same time, he said that in the last two years during the corona epidemic, the sentinel companions have contributed immensely in emerging from this epidemic. Sentinel companions have also been a major contributor to various social welfare activities, including distribution of ration to old age homes, distribution of medicines and free health check-up. He urged the sentinels to enroll in the programs of the upcoming session to be run under the Prahari Kaushal Vikas Yojana and hone their skills, which would provide financial support to the family, and put an end to gender inequality in the society. He expressed hope that the economic self-reliance of women would prove helpful in bringing gender equality in the society.
