"Regular exercise leads to health, long life, strength and happiness - Shri PS Bains, Inspector General"
Under the guidance of Shri PS Bains, Inspector General Border Security Force, under the guidance of Shri PS Bains, Inspector General Border Security Force, in BSF Meru Camp, a 10-km cyclothon was organized from 630 am on March 14 at 630 am today. The basic objective of which is to make common citizens aware of health through border guards and to motivate them to make them physically and mentally strong. So that in the present environment, immunity can be generated in their body to prevent health problems and many diseases arising out of corona.
The Cyclothon started at 0530 am, took a full round of Meru village and Silwar village through the main gate of Meru Camp and ended at 0700 hrs after traveling 10 kms to the main sports ground located in the Meru Camp complex. Shri PS Bains, Inspector General himself took the lead by participating in the program. More than 250 officers, subordinate officers and personnel of BSF Meru Camp participated in this Cyclothon. During the Cyclothon, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the common citizens and by clapping on both sides of the road, BSF personnel were greeted and encouraged.
In the concluding address of the function, Shri PS Bains, Inspector General, while addressing all the participants of Cyclothon said that regular exercise leads to health, longevity, strength and happiness. Since cycling is a complete exercise of the body. It also helps a person to remain physically and mentally healthy. We have to spend 40-45 minutes in physical activities by ourselves. We have seen in all the three waves of corona pandemic in the last two years that people who are health conscious and have been exercising regularly, not only this global epidemic, but also other diseases are not affected much, because a healthy body is shielded from diseases. It works as well as prevents its spread. He assured that the Border Security Force will continue to organize similar health awareness campaigns in future.
