BSF APPREHENDS 05 BANGLADESHI NATIONALS AND 02 ROHINGYAS IN TRIPURA
On 28 July 2024 at about 0800 hrs joint Mobile Check Post (MCP) of BSF and PS Amtali apprehended 05 BD nationals (Male-03, female-01 and 01 transgender.
Apprehended persons are identified as

Biplab Banik, 53 yrs,
S/O Deshbandhu Banik, Feni, Bangladesh
Utpala Banik 42 yrs,
W/O Biplab Banik, Feni, Bangladesh
Nijhar Banik,17 yrs,
S/O Biplab Banik, Feni, Bangladesh
Juli Pal (transgender) age 18 yrs
Brahmanabaria, Bangladesh
Preliminary investigation is going on.
In another incident BSF MCP in Mohanpur area, apprehended a driver along with an auto rickshaw bearing number TR01K 4112.
The auto was coming from Gopalpur vill to Mohanpur Market. When the BSF MCP party tried to stop the auto, the driver with some unknown persons sitting in the auto did not stop and fled away from the spot towards Mohanpur market. Thereafter, party chased and recovered the auto rickshaw from Mohanpur market with driver.
After preliminary inquiry apprehended driver along with auto was handed over to police for further legal action.
In a separate incident 02 Rohingya Illegal Migrants were apprehended by alert BSF troops in the bordering area of BOP Tillabazar under District North Tripura while they were trying to enter into Indian territory. The information provided by them has also led to the apprehension one suspected tout. Questioning is in progress.
BSF has enhanced the vigil and operations along the border to foil the attempts of infiltrators and touts.
