
Bordermen under Frontier HQ BSF Guwahati, apart from manning Indo-Bangladesh International Border, also assist civilians in emergency situations by providing all kind of assistance including carrying out rescue operations.
On 19 March 2022, at about 1955 Hrs one child namely Abdullah (03 years) s/o Bhutto Sheikh r/o village Sastraghat Pt-II was accidentally burnt and needed immediate medical help. On getting information, Seema Praharis of 19 Bn under BSF Guwahati Ftr immediately reacted and rushed to the spot, exhibiting example of humanity, evacuated the burnt child to nearest civil hospital providing BSF vehicle and nursing staff.
In one another case, on night intervening 19-20 March 2022, a massive fire broke out in the house of one Indian national namely Lalku Mandal s/o Mohammad Ali of bordering vill- Mandalpara, Dist South Salamara (Assam). Seema Praharis of 45 Bn BSF immediately reacted and rushed to the spot and extended help to villagers to douse the fire and saved precious lives by evacuating men, animals & material.
Border populace appreciated the humanitarian efforts of Bordermen. Nevertheless the Border Security Force is dedicated for the Security of Borders of India as well extending help to citizens of India as its guided principle and ethos. India as well
